Dreadful folktales from the land of Nosferatu

The short collection of tales is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the author, the illustrator and some of their friends. Their pals came with the oral sources required for rendering a couple of supernatural and horror stories set in the rural or suburban areas of Romania. Thus, the corpus of these stories is given by the individual experiences of people living today who still remember some magical happenings that they heard from their parents or other relatives during childhood. All the episodes recounted in this book were never published before in this form. There are only isolated themes and motifs that point to various fragments of the Romanian folklore. While some of the tales are based on fabulous happenings that were not likely to occur in real terms, others are fascinating with their genuineness and they can be regarded as veridical moments in someone's life despite the powerful touch of the supernatural.
